Park HHP-2, Headset Press:

The Park HHP-2, Headset and Hanger Press, is a professional quality tool that is easy to use and will last a lifetime. Several design features make the HHP-2 easier to use and more versatile than the original Park HHP-1 Headset Hanger and Press.
The Park HHP-2 easily and accurately aligns and presses into your frame, headset cups, eliminating damaged, dented, chipped, or misaligned bearing cups and races.
Note the stepped bushings which provide a precise fit and alignment for regular and oversized head and hanger cups.
The Park HHP-2 has oversized pressing plates so it can be used on any size pressed headset cup, from 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch in diameter including integrated and zero stack models.

Park's unique design permits instant removal after your headset cups are seated. No unscrewing is required to remove the tool; simply push the lower quick release button and slide the bottom assembly off.
The entire tool is heat treated and nickel-plated to give years of trouble-free service.
Park lengthened the threaded portion of the hex shaft in the HHP-2 so it can be used to press American style bottom bracket cups and cartridge bearings into BMX frames.

Park CRS-1, Fork Crown Race Setter Tool:

The ever thoughtful folks at Park designed the CRS-1 Crown Race Setter to install fork crown races gentler, faster, safer, and more precisely than the old fashioned method.
Traditionally, a bicycle mechanic would slam a heavy tube onto the bearing surface to "set" the fork crown race in place.
The Park CRS-1 spares the bearing surface a direct hit by using various inserted setting rings to ensure a proper fit on the fork crown race.
Simply choose the correct setting ring, then slide the CRS-1 over the fork tube and into the top end of the ring. Using a hammer, firmly tap on the end cap of the CRS-1 to seat the fork crown race into its proper place, safely and accurately.
The Park CRS-1 set includes one universal setting tube, three 1 inch setting rings, and three 1-1/8 inch setting rings.
Some forks are made with a tall pressed race surface for the crown race. The Park 838 adapter ring allows your fork crown race to be installed on Klein Aeros and Trek Superlight Carbon Composite Forks. The 838 adapter ring is available as an accessory to the Park CRS-1. It is NOT included with the CRS-1 set.

Park TNS-1, Threadless Fork Star Nut Setter:

The Park TNS-1, Threadless Nut Setter is used to install the star-fangled nut found on AheadSet and other threadless headset systems. The Park TNS-1 was recently upgraded with a longer handle for greater ease of use.
To use simply thread the nut onto the TNS-1, insert both into the fork column and tap firmly with a hammer. The Park TNS-1 sets the star-fangled nut to 15mm and keeps it perfectly straight.
The Park TNS-1 fits 1 inch and 1 1/8 inch threadless or smooth sided fork columns.
The threaded pin, Park part number 822, on the Park TNS-1 that holds the star nut is easily replaceable.

This is an archival edition of the Branford Bike web site from February 2006. Complete with product photos, prices, how to articles and technical specifications it is a treasure trove of accurate, detailed and historical information.

In July of 2006 Branford Bike was incinerated by a huge forest fire. No one was hurt but the inventory and buildings were completely destroyed. I witnessed the fire and stayed until the trees were burning in my driveway. At that point I hiked from Branford Bike, through the smoke and embers, down the mountain to my Jeep 3 miles away. I took photos and wrote about the harrowing experience so everyone could see what I saw. My insurance was generous and I later rebuilt my home and started another business selling books. Branford Bike was a huge part of my life for over 30 years; June 1976 to July 2006. I enjoyed those years tremendously and Branford Bike was often a labor of love.
