Campagnolo Euros Wheels:
  • The moderate depth semi-aerodynamic, rim is exceptionally fast, responsive and long lasting.
  • Designed for the rigors of top level competition. The Eurus is equally at home in against the clock events or the widely varied terrain of a stage race.
  • The Euros provides a smoother ride than the now discontinued Shamal and Vento wheels. Thanks to the G3 spoking pattern the Euros is exceptionally aerodynamic.
  • Available in a fast and feather light clincher model that weighs just 1,560 grams per pair with skewers.
  • Constructed from aerospace grade, 6082-T6 hardened aluminum alloy for exceptional strength, performance and durability.
  • This rim's braking tracks are precisely machined so both are perfectly parallel.
  • Parallel braking tracks are wire brushed for smooth and solid stopping.
  • 20 mm wide rim is standard for all new Campy rims and wheels; wheel changes are simple and no longer require brake adjustments. Fits 20 to 28 mm, 700c tires with presta valve tubes.
  • User friendly; wheels are easy to true or repair. No need to return to the factory and endure long waiting times.
  • Detailed manual, deluxe carrying bag and a Record skewer are included with each wheel. Rear wheel also comes with a steel lock ring for 12 and 13 tooth starting position cassettes.
  • All wheels are securely packed by our professional shipping staff.
  • Made in Italy by Campagnolo and backed with a 3 year replacement warranty.

Can I use these wheels with Campagnolo 8, 9 or 10 speed systems? How about Shimano 8, 9 and 10 speed systems?

Campagnolo hubs and wheels can be used with Camapagnolo 9 or 10 speed systems simply by slipping on a 9 or 10 speed Campagnolo cassette. You can use them with Campagnolo 8 speed systems by using a "loose cog" Camapagnolo 9 speed cassette and a Wheels Shift 8 spacing kit. Campagnolo wheels may also be used with Shimano rear derailleurs and STI shifters. Click on the underlined text to visit our Cassettes and Spacers catalog section for a detailed discussion of cassettes and spacing kits.

  • Both front and rear rims have reinforced nipple washer seats, which evenly support spoke tensioning forces.
  • Straight pull spoke design is combined with spherical, self centering nipples and washers. Shearing stresses and breakage, common to the elbow section of normal spokes, are eliminated. The self locking, hardened 7075 alloy 5.5 mm nipple and Cromoly washer combination resists loosening even under very high loads. Spherical self centering washers always keep the spokes in a perfectly straight line and evenly distribute pedaling forces. These wheels hold their true beautifully.
  • The "Groups of 3" or G3 spoke lacing pattern used on the rear wheel, and pictured below, allows for greater torsional and lateral stiffness. Spoke tension is more uniform than standard wheels. Equal spoke tension provides for greater strength and less maintenance. Notice how two of the three spokes in each group goes to the cassette or drive side of the hub.
  • The Euros front wheel is radially laced and is also exceptionally aerodynamic.

  • Hubs are Record quality, made of aluminum alloy and specifically designed for straight pull (HPW) spokes. They come with Record axles, races, bearings, grease ports and quick release skewers.
  • Spokes are constructed from X12 CrNi Stainless Steel and finished in black to match the hubs and rims.
  • Front and non-drive rear bladed aero spokes are lighter gauge; they have a thinner cross-section, than the drive side rear to reduce weight without sacrificing strength.
  • 21 rear and 16 front, aerodynamic, bladed spokes cut through the wind and can add seconds to your best time.
  • Record 9/10 speed cassette body has a titanium pawl carrier to further reduce weight with no sacrifice in strength.
  • Also available with a steel cassette body that is perfectly machined to allow Shimano 8, 9 and 10 speed cassettes to slide right on. No spacing kits are required. The Shimano cassette body uses a Shimano lockring. You may switch between Campy and Shimano style bodies as well.

Comparison: Campy Euros and Neutron Weels
  • Euros and Neutron wheels share the same Record hubs, quick release skewers and type of aerodynamic bladed spokes. Euros differ from Neutrons by:
  • Neutrons come with clincher or tubular tire rims. Euros are only available in a clincher version.
  • Euros have a deeper dish and more aerodynamic rim than the Neutrons.
  • Euros uses a "Groups of Three" spoking pattern on the rear wheel to further increase its aerodynamic advantage over the Neutron. Both Neutron and Euros front wheels use a radially laced spoking pattern.
  • For straight comfort the Neutrons win. The Euros scores better if you want the best combination of performance and comfort.
  • Both the Euros and Neutron wheels come with a Record 9/10 speed freehub body that has a titanium pawl carrier.
  • Euros clinchers weigh 1560 grams per pair, Neutron clinchers weigh 1580 grams per pair. Neutron tubulars weigh just 1549 grams per pair.

Branford Bike Online Catalog - Archival Edition
brought to you by the former owner of Branford Bike, Tim Brockett via his personal web site, TimsLife.Com
This is an archival edition of the Branford Bike web site from February 2006. Complete with product photos, prices, how to articles and technical specifications it is a treasure trove of accurate, detailed and historical information.

In July of 2006 Branford Bike was incinerated by a huge forest fire. No one was hurt but the inventory and buildings were completely destroyed. I witnessed the fire and stayed until the trees were burning in my driveway. At that point I hiked from Branford Bike, through the smoke and embers, down the mountain to my Jeep 3 miles away. I took photos and wrote about the harrowing experience so everyone could see what I saw. My insurance was generous and I later rebuilt my home and started another business selling books. Read the story here.

Branford Bike was a huge part of my life for over 30 years; June 1976 to July 2006. I enjoyed those years tremendously and Branford Bike was often a labor of love. I hope you enjoy browsing through the archival catalog. If your visit brings back pleasant memories please share them with me via e-mail at timbrockett@gmail.com .

If you find any printed Branford Bike catalogs, advertisments or flyers please scan them as a PDF and email. Or you may mail them via US Post to Tim Brockett, PO Box 1711, Emigrant, MT 59027. Eventually I will post them in a Memorabilia catalog section.

Many Thanks and Best Wishes,
Tim Brockett
