| Andiamo Padded Briefs and Skins Easily turns any pair of shorts, jeans or sweatpants into comfortable bicycling shorts. The moderately padded, five layer, anti-bacterial, seamless chamois is exceptionally soft, cool and comfortable. Hydrophobic polyester, Lycra and soft cotton fibers rapidly wick away perspiration to keep you cool and dry. This unique and lightweight fabric blend creates a minimum of skin contact; you are literally wearing air that is surrounded by a wicking layer that keeps you cool when it is hot, and dry and warm when the temperatures fall. Ultra thin, sheer and stretchable; easily fits under even the tightest clothing. All seams are flat stitched for extra comfort. Extremely convenient; go cycling whenever you want to without having to change into special shorts. Padded skins offer the greatest protection and comfort. Wear them under jeans, street clothes or sweat pants. Snug fitting legs will not bunch, pinch or ride up. Padded briefs work best when worn under loose fitting shorts or under cycling shorts as extra padding. Wash with Cafe Suds. | Wear and care...
We strongly recommend washing all cycle clothing by hand, in luke warm water and
with Cafe Suds. Gently rinse with luke warm tap water. To dry, lay the garment on a large towel. Next carefully roll the towel and garment into a cylinder. Squeeze or pat, but do not wring. Let sit for 10 minutes, then unroll. Hang the garment inside on a clothing rack away from any direct heat source. Allow to dry naturally. |

This is an archival edition of the Branford Bike web site from February 2006. Complete with product photos, prices, how to articles and technical specifications it is a treasure trove of accurate, detailed and historical information. In July of 2006 Branford Bike was incinerated by a huge forest fire. No one was hurt but the inventory and buildings were completely destroyed. I witnessed the fire and stayed until the trees were burning in my driveway. At that point I hiked from Branford Bike, through the smoke and embers, down the mountain to my Jeep 3 miles away. I took photos and wrote about the harrowing experience so everyone could see what I saw. My insurance was generous and I later rebuilt my home and started another business selling books. Read the story here. Branford Bike was a huge part of my life for over 30 years; June 1976 to July 2006. I enjoyed those years tremendously and Branford Bike was often a labor of love.
