Campagnolo Seat Posts

Although it is not obvious, Campagnolo recently redesigned their Record and Chorus carbon seat posts.
The saddle cradle teeth for Record and Chorus are now twice as fine as earlier models and provide more precise adjustments of saddle pitch. The Record upper clamp is made from carbon fiber like their crank arms. The lower clamp is alloy but has finer teeth than earlier models and is black anodized. Both the upper and lower clamps are silver alloy for Chorus.
Record and Chorus carbon seat posts come in a 27.2 mm diameter version that is 250 mm long or a 31.6 mm diameter model that is 350 mm long. Both have 25 mm of saddle offset relative to the center line of the post. Record also comes in a new 32.4 mm diameter version that is 350 mm long and has 25 mm of saddle offset.
The Record 27.2 post weighs a mere 185 grams while the Chorus 27.2 post is just 10 grams heavier. Oue experience shows that both are stronger and more durable than previous carbon fiber models.
The 250 mm, 27.2 post has a minimum insertion depth of 25 mm and a maximum insertion depth of 185 mm. The 350 mm, 31.6 and 32.4 posts have a minimum insertion depth of 25 mm and a maximum insertion depth of 285 mm.
Record and Chorus carbon posts should only be used on bicycles that allow for the use of Campagnolo's slip on seat post clamp. Traditional seat clamps pinch a seat post unevenly and can cause it to deform. Campagnolo seat post clamps grip a seat post more evenly and allow it to retain its round shape. Record and Chorus 27.2 posts come with a 31.6 to 31.9 mm clamp. Record and Chorus 31.6 and 32.4 seat posts come with a 34.9 to 35.2 mm seat post clamp.
We suggest thoroughly cleaning the inside of your seat tube before inserting a Record or Chorus carbon post. Burrs and rough spots should be removed so they do not scratch the post. Grease is not recommended and should only be applied if the post is a very tight fit.
We also suggest using a Park Torque Wrench, for the most accurate installation. Campagnolo recommends the following torque specifications:
Campagnolo Seat Post cradle bolt - tighten to 22.0 Newton Meters (N.m) or 16.2 foot pounds
Campagnolo Seat Post frame mounted clamp bolt - tighten to 10.0 Newton Meters (N.m) or 7.4 foot pounds

Centaur seat posts are surprisingly light at 221 grams and and exceptionally durable.
They sport a 250 mm long alloy seat tube that is 27.2 mm in diameter and attached to an alloy saddle clamping cradle. The 250 mm, 27.2 post has a minimum insertion depth of 25 mm and a maximum insertion depth of 185 mm. The Centaur seat post has 25 mm of saddle offset relative to the center line of the post.
The Centaur Campagnolo seat post can be used in any frame; it does not require a special Campagnolo seat post clamp.
We suggest using Le Tour Whisper White grease to lightly coat the Centaur seat post before inserting it into your frame.
We also suggest using a Park Torque Wrench, for the most accurate installation. Campagnolo recommends the following torque specifications:
