Campagnolo Centaur Ergo Levers:
- In 2004 Campagnolo added Century grey as a color option for their Centaur 10 speed Ergo levers. The rest of the Ergo lever is the same as the current and previous years, Centaur alloy 10 speed model.
- The Centaur Century grey model is only available as a 10 speed lever. The alloy model is available as a 9 or 10 speed model. The alloy 9 speed model may be retrograded to pre-2001 9 speed or 8 speed at the time of purchase for just $20.00. It will then shift perfectly with all Campagnolo pre-2001 9 speed or Campagnolo 8 speed drivetrains.
- Campagnolo Centaur Ergo levers are precisely machined and nicely finished.
- The brake lever handles and the finger shift levers are heat treated aluminum alloy. The finger shift lever has a comfortable cut out to reduce weight and enhance your grip.
- Hardened steel springs and alloy hardware are carefully machined and then heat treated for greater durability.
- A single, long life bronze bushing, on each central pivot replaces the sealed bearings used on Chorus and Record Ergo shifters. The shifting is a little stiffer than Chorus or Record but wears in nicely after 1,000 miles or so. We have never seen a bushing wear out but they are replaceable.
- The weight of a Centaur Ergo Lever set without cables is just 399 grams.
- 100% Ergo Brain compatible.
- Adjustable, downtube cable stops are included. A brake and derailleur cable kit with black housing, two derailleur, two brake wires and a few cable end caps come with the Ergo lever set. Cable crimps are NOT included.
- We suggest purchasing a bag of Le Tour Cable Crimps and and a few Le Tour 5mm Cable End Caps as Campy does not include enough with their cable kit.
- Want housing in bright colors? Use Le Tour Brake and Derailleur housing. Le Tour fits Campagnolo Ergo levers perfectly, works flawlessly and adds beauty to any bike.
- You can expect to get 10,000 to 15,000 miles from the right lever and 20,000 to 30,000 miles from the left lever before they will need rebuilding.
- For longest life and smoothest shifting we recommend using
Le Tour Whisper White grease with the Le Tour Grease Gun to lubricate Campagnolo Ergo levers. Do NOT use chain lube to lubricate Ergo levers.
- The left side shifter is racheted so it works with double or triple chainring cranks and all Campagnolo front derailleurs. It even works with most Shimano front derailleurs. The right shifter is indexed and only works with Campagnolo rear derailleurs.

- Available as a set of two with cables or as individual levers.
- We suggest using a Park Torque Wrench, for the most accurate installation. Campagnolo recommends the following torque specifications:
Handlebar Clamp Band - tighten to 10.0 Newton Meters (N.m) or 7.38 foot pounds.
