Skin Suits by Kucharik
Exceptionally comfortable and aerodynamic. Widely used for Time Trials and performance riding. Soft and silky to the touch; long wearing and very cool and comfortable. Kucharik uses only the finest nylon/lycra fabric in these meticulously designed, cut, and stitched premium skin suits. All seams are double stitched and flat locked for incredible durability and comfort. Rich, bright colors will not fade or bleed with repeated washings. Extra long, full length zipper provides superior ventilation. Gently elasticized cuffs and legs with soft rubber grippers keep this fine garment comfortably in place. A soft and moderately padded, synthetic ultra suede chamois holds you in place and absorbs numbing road shock. The chamois may be removed so Inline and Speed Skaters can improve their performance with this fine skinsuit. Simply cut the stitches that holds the chamois in place. Wear and care...

We strongly recommend washing all cycle clothing by hand, in luke warm water and with Cafe Suds. Gently rinse with luke warm tap water. To dry, lay the garment on a large towel. Next carefully roll the towel and garment into a cylinder. Squeeze or pat, but do not wring. Let sit for 10 minutes, then unroll. Hang the garment inside on a clothing rack away from any direct heat source. Allow to dry naturally.
Drip dry your shorts, chamois side out and away from direct sunlight. Before each ride apply a thin layer of Chamois Cream for extra comfort and better hygiene. Extra care when washing and drying will reward you with superior comfort, durability and performance.

This is an archival edition of the Branford Bike web site from February 2006. Complete with product photos, prices, how to articles and technical specifications it is a treasure trove of accurate, detailed and historical information.

In July of 2006 Branford Bike was incinerated by a huge forest fire. No one was hurt but the inventory and buildings were completely destroyed. I witnessed the fire and stayed until the trees were burning in my driveway. At that point I hiked from Branford Bike, through the smoke and embers, down the mountain to my Jeep 3 miles away. I took photos and wrote about the harrowing experience so everyone could see what I saw. My insurance was generous and I later rebuilt my home and started another business selling books. Branford Bike was a huge part of my life for over 30 years; June 1976 to July 2006. I enjoyed those years tremendously and Branford Bike was often a labor of love.
