Shimano Replacement Crank Arm Bolts

The 8 mm allen head bolt (male) and collar (female) pictured above will fit all Dura-Ace 7700 and Ultegra 6500 and 6503 splined cranks. They will also fit XTR FC-M950/951/952 and Deore XT FC-M751 crank arms perfectly. Original XTR/XT bolts are identical to Dura-Ace except for the color.
This two piece bolt and collar combination is precisely machined from 7000 series aluminum alloy and stainless steel. The bolt is stainless steel and the collar is anodized aluminum alloy.
It is used to install and remove the crank from the splined bottom bracket spindle.
Dura-Ace/Ultegra crank bolts and collars come as individual items. You must purchase two collars and two bolts for a complete crankset.
The alloy collar comes with a large, black steel washer. The stainless steel, 8 mm bolt, comes with a smaller, thin nylon washer.
The Shimano 105 crank arm fixing bolts come as set of two. They will NOT act as an extractor like the Dura-Ace and Ultegra bolts. They fit all 9 speed 105 double and triple ring cranks.
For extra safety we recommend using a Park CCP-4 crank extractor to remove all Shimano splined cranks. The Shimano Chain Nut/Dust Cover wrench is used to install or remove the crank dust cover pictured above.

This is an archival edition of the Branford Bike web site from February 2006. Complete with product photos, prices, how to articles and technical specifications it is a treasure trove of accurate, detailed and historical information.

In July of 2006 Branford Bike was incinerated by a huge forest fire. No one was hurt but the inventory and buildings were completely destroyed. I witnessed the fire and stayed until the trees were burning in my driveway. At that point I hiked from Branford Bike, through the smoke and embers, down the mountain to my Jeep 3 miles away. I took photos and wrote about the harrowing experience so everyone could see what I saw. My insurance was generous and I later rebuilt my home and started another business selling books. Branford Bike was a huge part of my life for over 30 years; June 1976 to July 2006. I enjoyed those years tremendously and Branford Bike was often a labor of love.
