All Shimano STI levers may be used with a Flight Deck computer. All functions except Virtual Cadence, Gear Indicator and the Gear Ratio display will work fine on any STI lever. To use Virtual Cadence, Gear Indicator and the Gear Ratio display plus all of the other functions your levers must be 100% Flight Deck compatible. An easy way to check for 100% compatibility is to:

1) Check for the words "Flight Deck" on the lever assembly.
2) Check for rubber buttons on the road STI lever hood(s). Do you have two buttons on the right and none on the left hood or one button on each hood?
3) Look inside the lever for a flat, ribbon like wire cable.

The ribbon cable is not always easy to see and a few older, pre-2000, levers did not have rubber buttons on the hoods. However all 100% Flight Deck compatible STI levers do have the "Flight Deck" script.

• Match this kit with Dura-Ace 7700-C, Tiagra ST-4400 and Sora ST-3300 and 3303 STI levers. All of these levers have a single button on each hood.
• These kits also fit year 2001 to current Ultegra 6510 and 105 5500-CA STI levers. 2001 Ultegra and 105 STI levers came with a single button on EACH hood. Pre-2001 Ultegra and 105 9 speed STI levers have two buttons on the right hood and none on the left. Replace the two button hoods with one button hoods and you may use these kits with your pre-2001 Ultegra and 105 STI 9 speed levers.
• The SM-6501 kit features a start/stop button on the left STI lever and a mode select button on the right STI lever.
• Dura-Ace 7700-C, Tiagra ST-4400 and Sora ST-3300 and 3303 ST are new for the year 2000. They and all post 2000 8 and 9 speed STI levers have a sensor built into them that tells the Flight Deck computer what position chainring and cassette cog you are currently using. 7 speed Sora levers lack the built in sensor. Sora 8 speed STI levers have the sensor.
• These kits will NOT work with older Dura-Ace 7700 9 speed, Dura-Ace 7400 8 speed, Ultegra or 105 8 speed STI levers.
• The SM-6501 wireless kit comes with a 26.8 and a 31.8 mm oversized handlebar clamp.
• ALL Flight Deck computer functions are useable with this kit.
• In the wireless kit, SM-6501, wires still lead under your handlebar tape to the STI levers. However, the wires to the front wheel pickup were eliminated for a cleaner appearance. • Allows you to put handlebar mounted accessories above, below or in front of your handlebars. Mounts on your handlebars, stem or even your seatpost. The extension arm pivots 180 degrees.
• Two sizes are available. Both employ a 140 mm (5.6 inches) extension measured from the center of the bar clamp to the center of the horizontal accessory bar.
  The small Swing Grip comes with a 100 mm (4 inches) horizontal accessory bar while the large size has a 130 mm (5.1 inches) horizontal bar.
