• All Campagnolo cranks from 1990 to present use a 135 mm, bolt circle diameter, chainring. To calculate BCD, measure from the center of any chainring bolt to the center of the bottom bracket spindle, mounting hole. Then multiply by two and you will have the diameter of the bolt circle. Older Campagnolo cranks used a 144 mm BCD.
• Campagnolo did not change their rings when they went from 8 to 9 speed. All 9 speed chainrings are 100% compatible with 6, 7 or 8 speed, 135 BCD cranksets.



• Record, Chorus, Athena, Daytona and Centaur 8/9 and 10 speed inner rings are identical. Record 8/9 outer rings are identical to Chorus, Athena, Centaur and Daytona 8/9 except for the placement of the chain roll off pin.
• The Record roll off pin is next to a bolt hole; Chorus, Athena, Centaur and Daytona has the roll off pin mid-way between two bolt holes.



• Campagnolo changed their outer ring when they moved to 10 speed. It was milled .04 mm on the backside so it would sit closer to the inner ring to accomadate the narrower 10 speed chain. In the photo above the left ring is for 8/9 speed and the right ring is for 10 speed.
• You may retrograde a 10 speed chainring to 8/9 speed by simply adding a Le Tour 0.4 mm chainring spacer to every chainwheel bolt behind the outer 10 speed ring. Campagnolo no longer produces 50 and 52 tooth, 8/9 speed rings. However you can use a 10 speed 50 or 52 tooth ring with the Le Tour .4mm spacers and it will shift perfectly with your 8/9 speed drivetrain.



• All current Campagnolo middle and outer chainrings use steel chain pick up pins and have precisely machined teeth. Chain pick up pins are only used on middle, for triple chainring cranks, and outer rings for triple and double chain ring cranks. They help to lift your chain when you are shifting from a smaller ring into a bigger ring. Note how the teeth above the pick up pins are profiled to further assist in up shifting.
• Veloce uses stamped and machined, aluminum alloy inner, middle and outer rings. These are only available as a set of two or three rings. Use them to give new life at a bargain price, to an old Chorus, Athena, Daytona, Centaur, Veloce or Mirage crank. You may also upgrade your Veloce or Mirage crank with, Campy Chorus 8/9 speed outer and Record inner/middle rings.
• Inner, middle and outer rings should be matched unless the difference in teeth is 10 or less. Campy does not make a 53 tooth 8/9 speed outer ring to match a 42 inner ring. However, we have used a 53 8/9 speed outer for a 39 inner, with a 42 tooth inner and the shifting was good.
• Campagnolo 8/9 and 10 speed outer chainrings may be used with double or triple cranks as long as you match them to the proper middle and/or innermost chainring. Eg; a 53 tooth 10 speed triple outer ring can be used with a 42 tooth middle ring on a triple crank or a 42 tooth ring on a two ring crank.



• 10 speed Record outer chainrings require a thin, 0.4 mm, steel spacer as pictured above. Place the lipped spacer between the outer ring and crank arm.

• The smallest ring has a 74mm bolt circle diameter. The middle and outer rings use a 135mm bolt circle diameter.
• Record 10 speed triple cranks require a Record 10 speed outer ring.
• The middle and inner rings on a Record 10 speed crank are identical to those used on Campy 8/9 speed triple cranks. The mounting tabs for the innermost ring on a 10 speed triple crank arm are machined .4 mm shorter than for an 8/9 speed triple arm.
• Inner, middle and outer rings should be matched unless the difference in teeth is 10 or less.
• Triple 8/9 speed rings can also be used on any Campagnolo Racing T, Centaur, Veloce or Mirage triple ring crank. Triple middle and outer rings may be used on any Campy double ring crankset.
• Veloce uses stamped and machined, aluminum alloy inner, middle and outer rings. These are only available as a set of two or three rings. Use them to give new life at a bargain price, to an old Chorus, Athena, Daytona, Centaur, Veloce or Mirage crank. You may also upgrade your Veloce or Mirage crank with, Campy Chorus 8/9 speed outer and Record inner/middle rings.
• Also listed are 30 tooth, Campy 74 mm MTB rings. The quality is the same as Record rings.

• Campagnolo Track rings are precisely machined from a solid block of 7075 aluminum alloy.
• They are cut wider for track use and require an 1/8 inch wide chain. A road chain is only 3/32 of an inch wide and will not mesh with a track ring.
• Exceptionally stiff and strong.
• Difficult to come by; please order early.
• Fits all 144 Bolt Circle Diameter cranks.

Engagement Track Rings

• Engagement Track rings are precisely machined from a 5mm block of 7075 aluminum alloy.
• They are cut wider for track use and require an 1/8 inch wide chain. A road chain is only 3/32 of an inch wide and will not mesh with a track ring.
• Not as nicely finished as Campagnolo but almost as stiff and durable.
• Exceptionally well priced.
• Fits all 144 Bolt Circle Diameter cranks including Campagnolo, Sugino and Shimano.
• Made in the USA by Salsa Cycles.

• Satin silver anodized finish. The outermost ring comes with pickup pins. For smoothest shifting we recommend keeping the outer ring no more than 14 teeth bigger than the inner ring.
• The 39, 40, 41, 42, 43 and 44 tooth rings are inner chainrings for two ring cranks. 45 tooth and larger rings are outer chainrings for two or three ring cranks. Designed for use with 7, 8, 9 and 10 speed Campagnolo drive trains.

• Fits older, 1970 to late 1980's, Campagnolo, 144mm bolt circle diameter, Nuovo and Super Record cranks.
• Precisely machined from 7000 series aluminum alloy for exceptional durability and performance. Beautiful, satin anodized finish.
• Like the original Campagnolo chainrings, these do not come with pickup pins. For smoothest shifting we recommend keeping the outer ring no more than 12 teeth bigger than the inner ring.
• The 41, 42, 43 and 44 tooth rings are inner chainrings for two ring cranks. 45 tooth and larger rings are outer chainrings for two or three ring cranks.
• 41 teeth is the smallest chain ring that will fit on a 144 Bolt Circle Diameter crank. To use a smaller chain ring you must switch to a newer, 135 BCD crank.
• Made in France by TA with a harder and longer wearing aluminum alloy than was available for the original Campagnolo rings.
• The 48 and 53 tooth sizes are made by Stronglight in France to the same specifications as the TA produced rings.

• Precisely machined from 7075 aluminum alloy for exceptional durability and performance.
• Available in 24, 26, 28, 30 and 32 teeth for use as an innermost chainring on three ring cranks.
• We have used the 28 and 30 with success on stock, Campagnolo 8/9 and 10 speed, triple cranks. The 26 worked fine on a 10 speed triple with a 50 tooth outer ring.
• It is ok to mix and match different TA rings. Shifting is precise everytime.
• Chainring bolt holes are countersunk for perfect chainstay clearance.
• Campagnolo 10 speed cranks have shorter innermost chainring studs than their 8/9 speed triple cranks. Only the outer ring is different for 10 speed.
• May be used with 7/8, 9 or 10 speed, double or triple ring, Campagnolo and all other 74 mm BCD cranks. Made in France by TA.

Chainrings are most often measured in reference to their Bolt Circle Diameter (BCD) depicted as B in the above picture. BCD is literally the diameter of an imaginary circle that connects the centers of all the chainring bolts.
It is easier to measure the distance between adjoining chainring bolts as depicted by A in the above picture. Use the chart below to determine what size rings you have.

74 BCD Rings: A = 43.5 mm, B = 74 mm
130 BCD Rings: A = 76.4 mm, B = 130 mm
135 BCD Rings: A = 79.5 mm, B = 135 mm
144 BCD Rings: A = 84.6 mm, B = 144 mm
