Park BTS-1 Bottom Bracket Taps and Facer:

A professional quality tool that is easy to use and will last a lifetime.
Cleans and cuts bottom bracket threads in steel, aluminum or titanium frames.
A facing cutter is included. Use it to clean and prepare the edges of your bottom bracket shell. Those edges must be at a right angle to your bottom bracket spindle and perfectly parallel to each other.
The Park BTS-1 comes with two British (1.37 inches x 24 threads per inch) or larger diameter Italian taps (36 mm x 24 threads per inch).
Taps may be purchased separately. Park taps and the facing cutter may be resharpened by a professional tool cutting service.
Good cutting oil is essential when using any cutting tool. Use it liberally for maximum tool life and ease of use.
British or often called English, taps have a different right and left tap. Italian threading is the same for both the right and left taps. Two cutting taps are required for British or Italian threaded bottom brackets.
The right and left handles slide into each other so the taps are always perfectly positioned in reference to each other.
To use the facing cutter you leave the taps in the frame. Then you slide the cutter onto the right, male, handle. Slide the handle into your frame using the taps as a pilot and simply turn the handle while pressing the cutter towards your frame.
The BTS-1 facing cutter is designed for cleaning and light duty facing. For heavy duty facing use the Park BFS-1 Bottom Bracket Facing set.
