Floor to Ceiling Oak Racks - Holds two to four bikes and gear

Hand made with seasoned Red Oak hardwood. Beautifully oiled and hand rubbed finish adds warmth to any room and requires little maintenance. Easily holds up to four bikes with horizontal or sloping top tubes. Heavy duty, vinyl coated steel frame holders are fully adjustable to match almost any frame geometry. The freestanding model, pictured below, is 6 feet and 3 inches, (191 cm) tall. The Free Standing rack has a 28 inch ( 72 cm ) footprint and offers excellent stability for up to four bikes.
The floor to ceiling model, pictured above, is adjustable from 7 feet (213 cm) to 10 feet (305 cm) in height. It may be placed just 6 inches (15 cm) from any wall. It too, will securely hold up to four bicycles and a storage basket. The Floor to Ceiling model is specifically designed for rigid ceilings but can be modified for suspended ceilings. Both racks come with kits to hold two bicycles and may be placed anywhere in your home or office. Wall Mounted Oak Rack
Solid, pegged and bolted design, mounts to any wall and securely holds one bike with a horizontal top tube. Ideal for most road bicycles. Permanent mounting hardware is included and easy to use. Pre-drilled, countersunk holes are set 16 inches (40 cm) on center to match standard US wall stud spacing. Oak plugs hide the bolts from view. The arm tips are 14 3/4 inches (37.5 cm) from the wall plate. The cradles that hold the frame in the arms are 12 1/2 inches (32 cm) from the wall plate, which allows plenty of room for wide handle bars. We recommend a maximum load of 50 pounds when this rack is installed based on our instruction sheet.

Branford Bike Online Catalog - Archival Edition

This is an archival edition of the Branford Bike web site from February 2006. Complete with product photos, prices, how to articles and technical specifications it is a treasure trove of accurate, detailed and historical information.

In July of 2006 Branford Bike was incinerated by a huge forest fire. No one was hurt but the inventory and buildings were completely destroyed. I witnessed the fire and stayed until the trees were burning in my driveway. At that point I hiked from Branford Bike, through the smoke and embers, down the mountain to my Jeep 3 miles away. I took photos and wrote about the harrowing experience so everyone could see what I saw. My insurance was generous and I later rebuilt my home and started another business selling books. Branford Bike was a huge part of my life for over 30 years; June 1976 to July 2006. I enjoyed those years tremendously and Branford Bike was often a labor of love.
