- the big picture!

Polar Precision Performance software Screen Shots

The top Polar Precision Performance software screen shows heart rate points over a 2 hour and 28 minute, 54 mile race. The left axis indicates heart rate in beats per minute. The horizontal axis is time in hours and minutes.

The highest and bright, red line shows heart rate fluctuation over 2 hours and 28 minutes.
The lower and dark red line shows altitude change in feet over the entire ride. Note the right vertical axis which also shows altitude in feet in dark red.
The lowest and bright blue line shows speed in miles per hour. Note the right vertical axis which shows a speed scale in bright blue.
Summary ride information is listed in the blocks below the graph. The cadence and power functions were not used with this session. They would appear on the graph though if they were used.

The lower screen shot shows heart rate, speed and altitude in 5 second increments for a portion of this session. Cadence and power would also be listed if our rider was using them.

Graphs are courtesy of Jamie Sarkisian, a noted New England runner and cyclist and long time Polar heart monitor enthusiast.
