Branford Bike Online Catalog - Archival Edition brought to you by the former owner of Branford Bike, Tim Brockett via his personal web site, TimsLife.Com |
This is an archival edition of the Branford Bike web site from February 2006. Complete with product photos, prices, how to articles and technical specifications it is a treasure trove of accurate, detailed and historical information. In July of 2006 Branford Bike was incinerated by a huge forest fire. No one was hurt but the inventory and buildings were completely destroyed. I witnessed the fire and stayed until the trees were burning in my driveway. At that point I hiked from Branford Bike, through the smoke and embers, down the mountain to my Jeep 3 miles away. I took photos and wrote about the harrowing experience so everyone could see what I saw. My insurance was generous and I later rebuilt my home and started another business selling books. Read the story here. Branford Bike was a huge part of my life for over 30 years; June 1976 to July 2006. I enjoyed those years tremendously and Branford Bike was often a labor of love. I hope you enjoy browsing through the archival catalog. If your visit brings back pleasant memories please share them with me via e-mail at timbrockett@gmail.com . If you find any printed Branford Bike catalogs, advertisments or flyers please scan them as a PDF and email. Or you may mail them via US Post to Tim Brockett, PO Box 1711, Emigrant, MT 59027. Eventually I will post them in a Memorabilia catalog section. Many Thanks and Best Wishes, Tim Brockett |

Park CG-2 Chain Gang A dirty drive train causes poor shifting and unnecessary wear to expensive parts. The Park Chain Gang contains everything needed to quickly and easily clean the chain, cassette cogs, and chain rings. The Chain Gang includes a Park CM-5 Cyclone® Chain Scrubber, a Park GSC-1 Gear Clean® Brush, and an 8 oz. (237 ml) bottle of BIO ChainBrite. The CG-2 works on all derailleur bikes and most 3-speed and coaster brake bikes. The Park Cyclone Chain Scrubber is made with a tough nylon based plastic and has replaceable cleaning brushes. The Cyclone Scrubber features an in-line chain track for less chain resistance and a two step cleaning process for a spotless chain. A grade 5 magnet collects loose metal particles that can damage your drive train. A thicker profile and a wide base provide extra stability. An extra large reservoir provides greater solvent capacity. We recommend using Park ChainBrite with the Cyclone Scrubber. Park ChainBrite is specially formulated for use in the Park CM-5 Cyclone Chain Scrubber®. It removes the toughest grease and grime buildup from chains and components and leaves a light, protective silicone shield. Although ChainBrite® is a powerful cleaner, it will not harm alloy, plastic, or painted parts. Regular use of ChainBrite® and the CM-5 (along with regular use of a quality chain lubricant like Le Tour or Campagnolo) will reduce gear system wear and friction and promote smoother, quicker shifting. A handy flip-top lid on the 16 oz. (474ml) bottle makes spill free pouring easy. Park Tool's patented Gear Clean Brush has a unique design. A large comfortable handle with a curved, toothed-end reaches dirt deep between the gears, and tough nylon bristles clean the derailleur and chain. Saves wear and tear on your chain and cassette. Works great on brakes or other places where dirt collects. Handy size to take along for quick cleaning anywhere. Fit narrow spaced 9 and 10 speed cassettes. Made of sturdy nylon. WHAT THE PRESS SAYS “Park Tool’s clamp-on chain cleaner is a sturdier, more shop-like version of the leading scrubber offered by Finishline®. The Park Tools device earns four stars for effectively cleaning your chain. …it is the most durable, well-thought-out, clamp-on cleaner on the market.” Mountain Bike Action |
