This is an archival edition of the Branford Bike web site from February 2006. Complete with product photos, prices, how to articles and technical specifications it is a treasure trove of accurate, detailed and historical information. In July of 2006 Branford Bike was incinerated by a huge forest fire. No one was hurt but the inventory and buildings were completely destroyed. I witnessed the fire and stayed until the trees were burning in my driveway. At that point I hiked from Branford Bike, through the smoke and embers, down the mountain to my Jeep 3 miles away. I took photos and wrote about the harrowing experience so everyone could see what I saw. My insurance was generous and I later rebuilt my home and started another business selling books. Read the story here. Branford Bike was a huge part of my life for over 30 years; June 1976 to July 2006. I enjoyed those years tremendously and Branford Bike was often a labor of love. | Pedro's Orange Peelz - not just for bikes!
Pedro's Orange Peelz is a powerful cleaner that is widely used for a variety of tough cleaning problems. It contains
D'Limonene which is a natural solvent extracted from citrus fruit. D'Limonene is safe and reliable,
and is an active ingredient of many stain removal products. These products have a distinctive citrus fragrance. We highly
recommend you obtain some and have it available for stain problems. Pedro's Orange Peelz can be used to remove
fat, oil, grease, grass and plant stains, some un-fixed dyes, ink, ball point pen, mustard, soy sauce, sticky labels from
containers... and the list goes on and on! Because D'Limonene is a solvent, avoid prolonged contact with painted
surfaces and plastic. The container it is packaged in is NOT the same type of plastic as your containers at home. So
be warned - keep the product in its original packaging! |

| Citrus or Solvent Based Degreasers Powerful and much safer to use than traditional petroleum based solvents such as gasoline or kerosene. Quickly removes caked on chain lube and dissolves old grease. Citrus solvents are strongly aromatic; use in a well ventilated area or your house will smell like oranges! Best if used on metal parts like chains, bearings and some components. Undiluted citrus solvents can soften and/or discolor some paints, plastics and rubber. Mix with soap and water or use the detergent based degreasers listed below to clean frames and plastic or rubber components. Citrus solvents are non-flammable, environmentally safe and 100% biodegradable. They may be diluted and rinsed with water. Made in the USA. |
