About: Radio Moscow was a popular shortwave station in the 1970s. Their signal was strong and was easily tuned to. In 1993 Radio Moscow became Voice of Russia. That in turn become Radio Sputnik which does not broadcast on short wave bands.
Notes: Radio Sputnik is being banned in many countries because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Some of the old timers at Radio Sputnik may be wishing for a renewal of short wave broadcasting. Unlike satellite and internet broadcasting, short wave cannot be blocked and easily travels great distances across all national borders.
Below is a QSL I received by mail from Voice of Russia in 2012. I asked if they had any old Radio Moscow QSLs and they sent one!
