- About: Radio Bucharest was a popular shortwave station in the 1970s. Romania was part of Eastern Europe and thus behind the iron curtain. They had to please the USSR. However their cultural programming was often interesting and educational. They are still broadcasting but are now known as Radio Romania International.

- About: Radio Romania International (Romanian: Radio Romania International, or RRI) is a Romanian radio station owned by the Romanian public radio broadcaster Societies Romana de Radiodifuziune (SRR, the national public radio in Romania) that broadcasts abroad. Prior to 1989, the station was known as Radio Bucharest.
According to the Romanian law nr. 41/1994, republished, the SRR produces and broadcasts programmes in the Romanian language and other languages, for worldwide auditorium, to promote the image of Romania, and her internal and external politics. As a result, inside the SRR there is Departmental Radio Romania International (The Department Radio Romania International) (RRI), that owns two radio stations.

- Notes: I emailed Radio Romania International at engl@rri.ro . In a few months I received QSL cards and a program schedule by US Post. Radio Romania International is one of my favorite shortwave stations. I try to listen at least once a week.

- About: Based in Romania and founded by Luca T (YO5LKA) in June 2022, Radio Carpathia is a series of broadcasts that feature music from Eastern European countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia and Serbia. We produce a new show every month, which is broadcast on shortwave and later available in the archive.
The aim of these broadcasts is to bring the music of Eastern Europe, which is otherwise ignored by major broadcasters, to a wider audience using the power of shortwave radio.
