About: Radio Budapest was a popular shortwave station in the 1970s. Hungary was part of Eastern Europe and thus behind the iron curtain. They had to please the USSR. However their cultural programming was often interesting and educational. They are still broadcasting but with a reduced shortwave footprint.
Notes: Radio Budapest mailed program guides to me for many years. There were one of my favorite stations.
