With 37.2 million listeners in 2014, it is one of the most-listened-to international radio stations in the world, along with Deutsche Welle, the BBC World Service, the Voice of America, Radio Netherlands Worldwide, and China Radio International.

Notes: I used to listen to the now discontinued, RFI English language broadcast in the 1970s. Recently I tuned into their French language broadcast from Issoudan, France. I did not understand enough of the program content to send a reception report. I may try again and use an online audio translation service to understand more of what they say.
